Rose Hill Center, a residential psychiatric treatment center, opened in 1992 through the generosity of many individuals, corporations and foundations. Proceeds from the initial fundraising efforts were used to purchase land, build a campus and establish a therapeutic program that has successfully treated individuals with serious mental illness.
In 2003, the Rose Hill Foundation was established to manage investments and raise funds in support of Rose Hill Center’s programs and services. Since then, the Foundation has provided grants exclusively to Rose Hill Center for primarily two important purposes:
to grant financial assistance for those who cannot afford the entire cost of treatment and to respond to urgent needs as they arise.
An annual campaign, an annual golf outing, and a focus on philanthropy through planned giving are the primary ways the Foundation raises these funds.
